Sometimes, your body is unable to do what you want it to do.
Your physical weakness has come at the worst time, when you have so much to do and so little time.
You feel vulnerable and broken. You’re not in control. Well, at least not in the way you’d like to be.
You have so much in you to give and share. You have so much to say. You have so much you want to do.
You feel frustrated and well meaning friends just don’t seem to understand.
But you feel a prompting, maybe from within, to befriend your weakness.
You stop being angry at your body for being less than it can be.
You decide to acknowledge how your body feels and just sit with it.
You sit with that feeling, and hold it.
You close your eyes and you start to feel some peace.
You start to accept your body, just as it is.
You embrace yourself and just sit with it.
It really is okay.
You see some light ahead. You see hope on the horizon.
You choose to just be, in this moment.
With acceptance, light and hope.
