Fragments on Spheres

6. Fragments on Spheres. 70.6cm x 90.5cm Oil on Linen £4500

As I write this I am listening to the soothing ebb and flow of ‘Luminous’ by Ludovico Einaudi. I let go of all the noise of the world, the noise of my day, and reconnect to the stillness within me. I absolutely love his music and I love the piano. It reminds me how you can choose to create heaviness or lightness in your life, all within your fingertips and in what you choose to focus upon and experience.

The blue fluid depths in this piece resemble that ebb and flow of life. A deep richness that is unending……….. if that is what you choose to see. But of course you don’t live your life in isolation (even if you wish you could at times) and there are people, things, events, circumstances, pain, loss, joy, and a plethora of experiences that shape and mould you: some welcome guests and others not…

The passions you experience, the sudden moments of crisis that arrive when you least expect them………these are the spheres and the sometimes sharp fragments of your life.

As you weave your way through life, rather than stand still fixed in panic, you learn to move and dance with the fear that sometimes accompanies the spheres and fragments, or guests, in your life.

Somewhere amidst the chaos and noise of your everyday, I hope you find the comfort of the ebb and flow, the balance, the harmony……

Which parts of this piece resonate with you the most?
